“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst.”
One of the difficulties of life is going back on track. Imagine yourself embarking on a gym routine in order to gain good physical form and stamina. You are enthusiastic for the first two weeks then your routine is interrupted due to some unexpected event. Then more interruption comes until you stop your gym routine altogether. Surely going back more so recovering the enthusiasm for the routine will be hard to come by.
In the same manner, many Christians who have stopped attending church worship and activities due to one reason another, find it really difficult to go back; more so to recover their enthusiasm for God. Let us look at the book of Zechariah and how the Lord persuaded the people of Israel to return to him and restore their dedication to him.
