Men’s Ministry Away Day, 22 Feb 2011

The Men’s Ministry joined their brothers from other outreaches and WIN UK churches in London on February 24. The topic of the away day was “Men at Work” and the teachings supported the topic by demonstrating that work for any man, is first and foremost for the Lord and we must execute it with all our heart as if it the work we are doing everyday is for the Lord himself.
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. (Colossians 3:23-25)
At the same time, we as men and workers for the Lord must embrace work for we have since the beginning of time been commanded to work and to take care of that which the Lord has provided for us:
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. (Genesis 2:15)
This can at times be difficult to understand especially with the busy lifestyle of modern day life.
The next Men’s Ministry Away Day will be on October 22 and will take place in Wallsall.
